Yasmine Abyad - Khawla Hamdy

I fell in love with him from the first moment. I know, it is strange for a mother to say this.. A mother loves all of her children. But I needed some time to love my kids! I was gradually getting used to them, then accepting their shapes and feeling that they belonged to me.. But Ahmed, I was in love since he was born. I look at him all day, as if he were my first child. It was a completely white little angel. His spotless whiteness was amazing, like a piece of snow in a hot country, and he was nursing and sleeping quietly, and he did not cry like children. His presence next to me made me feel calm and serene. And I needed that, in order to be able to face what was coming.
