Saqf al-Kifaya is a long letter from the protagonist "Nasser" to his beloved "Maha" who left him and married another man. The whole novel is told by its protagonist Nasser in the form of his thoughts in which he moves between two times, the first in which his story began with Maha in Riyadh, and the second in which he lives In his self-imposed exile in Vancouver with his alienation partners.
