The intense desire for knowledge continued to drive the great writer “Taha Hussein” from his youth until the last days of his life. He used to spend long hours a day listening to his assistants or colleagues reading to him whatever books he wanted, and even after his star shone in the world of thought and literature and assumed major jobs, he did not stop reading and reading new literary works issued to young men or adults. In this book, he talks about some books that caught his eye or liked them, and they varied between modern Arabic literature, French, American and others. So he decides to share with him the reader in the pleasure of getting to know the new and valuable fruits of intellect. The book also includes some different intellectual and critical opinions. It was characterized by the boldness that characterized his intellectual style.
