Dilshad's novel Biography of Hunger and Fullness, written by Dilshad Bushra Khalfan, reflects the history of the Omani in Muscat at the end of the nineteenth century, a charming novel that reflects the condition of the people in that era, with its sweetness and bitterness. The writer begins with, "What happens in the following pages did not happen except in the writer's imagination, and it will happen from now on in your imagination."

Dilshad's novel won the Katara Prize for Arabic Fiction and was one of the novels on the final list of the famous Booker Prize. The novel was written to deal with the situation in the city of Muscat, to be divided into three chapters, each of which talks about a neighborhood in the city.

The description of Dilshad's book is closer to being a sad narrative full of hunger, poverty and hope, with many intertwined and intermittent threads that you notice in every part of the novel.
